The Story of the Tin Man

Several people have asked about the significance of the "Tin Man." On page 15 of Cockshutt the Complete Story, compiled by the International Cockshutt Club Inc., it states: The "Mechanized Farm Hand" symbolized the part modern Cockshutt equipment played in helping Canadian farmers. He was featured in advertising and sales promotions throughout the 1940s as a "silent salesman."
