Attendance exceeded our expectations and it was amazing to see a parade of 106 Cockshutts. They have a separate parade for their featured tractor. Irv Buttray, President of the ICCI said one man told him he had counted 140 Cockshutts. When another man heard him say that he asked if he counted the four "over there", and he said no. Then he asked if he had included the two "down there" and he said no -- so that makes 146. It was a sea of Red and Yellow - a sight to behold. There were people from all over - Prince Edward Island, Ontario, Alberta, South Carolina, Seattle, Wa, Texas, Pennsylvania, Indiana, IL, IA -- and on and on. We have a US/Canadian map with markers indicating where everyone came from.

Bill and Helen Cockshutt were at the show on Saturday and attended the banquet that evening.

Many thanks were given to the workers that made this event happen. The biggest THANK YOU though goes to you, the people who attended the show. Without YOU, there would be no show, so THANK YOU and we hope to see you at our next meeting, October 30, 11:00 a.m. at Charlie's Cafe in Freeport, MN.

Oh, by the way - Deb took many pictures of the parade and has made them into a slide show which she will posting on this site this week. Hope you enjoy it.

Almelund, MN 2010

http://www.mngophercockshutt.com/lets-talk/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit1

http://www.mngophercockshutt.com/lets-talk/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit1#comments

Uncategorized

The Club would like to THANK EVERYONE who made the Almelund show a huge success! We had 40 tractors on display, vendors from Pennsylvania and Ohio, ICCI representation, and best of all ... so much enthusiasm for Cockshutt and Co-op Tractors!!! This was a great opportunity for others to learn about this great hobby of ours! Hope to see everyone at Nowthen, August 21-23. Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Regional Cockshutt Meeting at the Little Log House show [...]

Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Regional Cockshutt Meeting at the Little Log House show - the last weekend of July 2010! Let's make it even better than Almelund!

The Story of the Tin Man

http://www.mngophercockshutt.com/lets-talk/the-story-of-the-tin-man

http://www.mngophercockshutt.com/lets-talk/the-story-of-the-tin-man#comments

Uncategorized

Several people have asked about the significance of the "Tin Man."
